An inspirational icon, Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón or known as Frida Kahlo was born on 6th July 1907, Coyoacán, Mexico City. The third of four daughters of Guillermo Kahlo was known of her arts both portraits and self-portraits.
On 17th September 1925, Frida was involved in a streetcar accident that would change her life forever. From that point onwards, Frida miraculously survived from serious injuries. Due to that accident, she was not able to conceive children and directed her love and care towards her nieces nephews and also plants and animals. She often inspired from her life journey and would often turn to art as a way of expressing her deepest emotions.

What makes he iconic is because she was the first female artist to rebel against the canons of art in order to explore and express her personal stories and feelings. Her unique personality and multifaceted life has become a standard-bearer for every women’s inner strength. She was a genuine woman who was true to her beliefs.
Frida Kahlo has taught us that the pain or struggles we are facing now can be a purpose of our lives. Accepting differences among each other and embrace it wholeheartedly even if the worlds sees it oddly.

Through her story and art, I can find that her prints and colour are very interesting. The combination of living creatures and colours suits really well and how she express her emotions through art can truly tells everything.
She keeps on fighting and get back uo even though she is not able to be like other people, but her spirit and passion can truly impact her surroundings and remembered even until her final breath.
