As I embark on the journey of fashion design student, I am reminded me of how progress takes time. From the earliest memories of my first semester in diploma, I was required to draw several sketches and to understand the history of fashion. I am not trained to draw or write in high school so I found it tough when I am asked to create one.

It was totally new to me, things I am not used to do were all expected to be excellent, plus I am a person who prefer everything is good. Even though I am good at pattern drafting already but it seems it’s not enough just to be good at that section. It eventually lead me to practice more and more. I tried my best to be outstanding or at least excellent for my own satisfaction.

As I progressed through my academic journey, I embraced every opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge. From the assignments given in class to the countless hours spent I spent on my own time, I approached each task with a sense of curiosity and determination. With each project completed, I gained valuable insights into my strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth.

One of the most noticeable projects of my journey has been the process of self-discovery. Even though I may not be there yet but at least now I have interest on one section. Through designs, I have learned to embrace differentiation of interests, overcome challenges, and also creative perspective in designs. Every collection I created reflects my identity; my personal taste, my eye on details and constructions, and also inspirations that I struggle with on the research.

I realised that everyone has their own talent and capabilities. I have learn to embrace failures as part of learning and creative process, understanding each setback as an opportunity to grow even better. With the circumstances I faced, I emerge to be stronger, resilient, and more determined to pursue.

Looking back at my previous time, I am very proud of myself to be able to go this far, I feel myself that I have grown better in terms of research. I am filled with gratitude for the ups and downs I have experienced that made me the way I am today. Of course with the help and support of my friends and lecturer who guided me along the way and also to challenged and pushed to give the best.

As I continue on this pathway, I will always try to reflect back on my self and be grateful. By discovering who I am through the drive of curiosity and passion I am excited for the next adventures that might come ahead.
